The Right Choice for Christian Students
The System
Wisconsin Rapids Area Catholic Schools is a unified school system of the Diocese of La Crosse comprising childcare beginning at six weeks, preschool, and 4K at St. Lawrence, K-2 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven (St. Mary’s ), grades 3-5 at St. Vincent de Paul, grades 6-8 at Assumption Middle School, and grades 9-12 at Assumption High School.
The Ministry
WRACS serves the Roman Catholic Church, the Diocese of La Crosse, and the parishes of the Wisconsin Rapids area by providing an education rich in the traditions of Catholicism. Young people are a valued treasure and the future leaders of our Church. WRACS teachers work under the leadership of the Bishop. Our Catholic schools afford the fullest and best opportunity to realize the fourfold purpose of Christian education: to provide an atmosphere in which the Gospel message is proclaimed, community in Christ is experienced, service is the norm, and thanksgiving and worship of our God is cultivated.
The Vision
Our schools will continue to provide a gospel-based education of the highest quality. Our schools will be available, accessible, and affordable. Our schools will be staffed by highly qualified administrators and teachers
Parents are the primary educators of their children. Our teachers and administrators will work closely with parents and guardians in raising and forming their children. Faith and culture will be intertwined in all areas of school’s life.
