Assumption High School Hall of Fame

For over 50 years, Assumption High School has provided thousands of young men and women with a solid education. Throughout those years, with the help of administrators, priests, sisters, and lay faculty, Assumption has emphasized Christian values and rigorous study habits. Yet, this education was not limited to just classroom and chapel.

As a direct result of making athletics a vital component of its educational program, Assumption has developed many outstanding athletes in a variety of sports. Further, as a part of its commitment to excellence in athletics, Assumption has relied on the talents of coaches and athletic directors who have been instrumental in the school’s successful athletic program.

In order to preserve the athletic accomplishments of both teams and individual athletes, a group of dedicated supporters of Assumption founded the Athletic Hall of Fame in the spring of 2001 as a special tribute to those who have made significant contributions to the winning tradition of the “Assumption Royals.” Since that time Assumption has inducted over 20 athletes, coaches, and special contributors and one State Championship team.

As mentioned, there are different categories involved in the process. Personnel inducted are athletes, coaches, special contributors and outstanding team accomplishments.

The first induction ceremony was held at a boys’ basketball game on February 22, 2002 with a dinner held the following night. Members of the inaugural class are:
